APPOINTMENT OF SURVEYORS AS THE EXECUTORS OF VERIFICATION AND TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE
OF THE IMPORT OF NON-NEW CITY AND URBAN BUSES

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE,

Considering:

• a. that in connection with the extension of the validity period of Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 458/MPP/Kep/7/2003 on provisions and procedures for importing non-new city and urban buses as already amended several times and the latest by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 420/MPP/Kep/6/2004, it is necessary to extend the appointment of surveyors as the executors of verification and technical surveillance of the import of non-new city and urban buses by amending Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 480/MPP/Kep/7/2003 on the appointment of surveyors as the executors of verification and technical surveillance of the import of non-nevi city and urban buses:
• b. That in relation thereto, it is necessary to issue a decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade;

In view of:

• 1. Presidential Decree No. 228/M/2001 on the establishment of the Mutual Cooperation Cabinet;
• 2. Presidential Decree No. 102/2001 on the status, tasks, functions, authority, organizational structures and working arrangements of ministries;
• 3. Presidential Decree No. 109/2001 on first-echelon organizational units and tasks of ministries.
• 4. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 86/MPP/Kep/3/2001 on the organization and working arrangement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
• 5. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 458/MPP/Kep/7/2003 on provisions and procedures for importing non-new city and urban buses as already amended several times and the latest by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 420/MPP/Kep/6/2004;
• 6. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 480/MPP/Kep/7/2003 on the appointment of surveyors as the executors of verification and technical surveillance of the import of non new city and urban buses;

DECIDES:

To Stipulate:

THE AMENDMENT TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER ()F INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 480/MPP/Kep/7/2003 ON THE APPOINTMENT OF SURVEYORS AS THE EXECUTOR OF VERIFICATION AND TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE OF THE IMPORT OF NON-NEW CITY AND URBAN BUSES

FIRST:

Several provisions in Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 480/MPP/Kep/7/2003 on the appointment of surveyors as the executors of verification and technical surveillance of the import of non-new city and urban buses shall be amended as follows:

1. To amend the provision in Dictum SECOND point 1 letter e and f so as to entirely read is follows

"SECOND:

The two surveyors as meant in Dictum FIRST shall have the following tasks:

1. undertaking verification technical surveillance of non-new city and urban buses, covering data or information of:

• a. number of seats as many as 20 (twenty) or more, including driver;
• b. axis configuration 1.2;
• c. age of vehicle chassis minimally 5 (five) years and maximally 15 (fifteen) years;
• d. right steering system;
• e. examination of content of emission carbon according to the Indonesian standards;
• f. mark according to brands existing in Indonesia,
• g. type arid variant;
• h. country of origin,
• i. no. of frame;
• j. dimension;
• k. weight;
• I. type/model of propeller;
• m. no of engine;
• n. cylinder capacity; and
• o. maximum power

2. containing results of the verification or technical surveillance as meant in paragraph (1) into Certificate of Inspection (COI) used as the basis for issuing Type Registration Identity (TPT);

3. conveying written report on activities of verification or technical surveillance of the import of non-new city and urban buses periodically, every three months, to the Director General of Foreign Trade, in this case the Director of Import, Ministry of Industry and Trade."

2. To amend the provision in Dictum SECOND so as to entirely read as follows:

"FIFTH:

The appointment of the surveyors as meant in Dictum FIRST shall come into force as from July 21, 2003 and come into an end of June 30, 2005 with the provision that it shall not abolish the authority of the Minister of Industry and Trade to revoke, replace and/or supplement the appointment of surveyor to survey the import of non-new city and urban buses."

SECOND:

The decree shall come into force as from the date of Stipulation.
